LEGO® NINJAGO® Lloyd

Another productive day at the Mediadesign Hochschule Düssedorf with DFD1018. Digital LEGO with Mecabricks is just perfect and brilliant for teaching some basic shader setups and advanced shader trees with Autodesk Maya and Redshift. Learning by playing good.

It's important to understand that most concepts today are quite simple to create very good looking renderings, but overall 3D/VFX is a technically very complex and creatively challenging profession.

I can't teach everything here or copy-paste my experience into another ones mind but that's not the point. The goal is to provide the important techniques and initial ignition for the most important skill: self-study and personal development.

Since teaching as a professor, I became even more aware of what it means to be a good 3D/VFX specialist. #lovemyjob #digitalrevolution
