LEGO® Battlestar Galactica by GBC Germany

The online LEGO editor Mecabricks and Blender are a great combo with a super-fast workflow.

The MOC of the Battlestar Galactica designed by Claudius Karch (https://www.flickr.com/photos/onthekante/) is made of 19,964 parts with Stud.io. The model is based on LDraw data what can be imported into Mecabricks. The export took just a few seconds. Importing the model into Blender and preparing a scene for this "quick & dirty" HD rendering took around 5 minutes and the rendering itself a few minutes on a laptop with an i7-8750H CPU and a Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU.

I think I need some time to start with tutorials for everyone who wants to try to play with digital LEGO. #b3d #bsg
