LEGO® MOC Thunder Wings (Maya with Arnold)

Due to my position as codean for Digital Film Design at the Media Design Hochschule in Germany I am forced to deal with #Maya and #Arnold (renderer).

So why not importing #Mecabricks data to adapt a former Blender project to learn Arnold? Unfortunately Arnold is not supporting a rounded edge (Bevel) shader. So I had to find a solution using a Curvature node with a Bump node sticking into the Normal Camera of the Arnold node.

This rendering in HD took 16min 31sec on a #Ryzen #Threadripper. Without the Curvature nodes 10min 51sec. This is pretty slow compared to #Blender #Cycles. And the inbuild Bevel node of Cycles is better.

No bevel shader.
